This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible is presented as one of 1,949 units powered by a numbers-matching LT-1 350ci Turbo-Fire V8, having driven fewer than 18,000 miles since new and retaining original, factory-correct specifications for the bodywork, interior, and engine bay. A console-shifted Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission directs power to a positraction rear end, and drivetrain maintenance has been brought up to date with work performed on the suspension, exhaust, and braking system. Finished in Bridgehampton Blue over a Dark Blue vinyl interior.The Corvette grew into its third generation beginning in 1967, modeled after the Mako Shark II Concept. For 1970, revisions were made to the body that incorporated a new egg-crate grille, matching side fender vents, and subtle changes to the lighting systems. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission and a positraction rear differential with 4.11:1 gearing.
